How do I apply LATISSE®?

  • LATISSE® solution is a once-a-day treatment you apply yourself each evening to the base of the upper eyelashes
  • DO NOT APPLY in your eye or to the lower lid, because excess hair growth outside the treatment area may occur

How soon will I see results?

  • Patients in a clinical trial saw results gradually over time (starting at 4 weeks with full results after 16 weeks)

What are the possible side effects of LATISSE® solution?

  • The most common side effects after using LATISSE® solution are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness
  • This was reported in approximately 4% of patients. LATISSE® solution may cause other less common side effects which typically occur on the skin close to where LATISSE® is applied, or in the eyes
  • These include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids

What happens if I stop using LATISSE®?

  • If you stop using LATISSE®, your eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months

What should I do if I wear contact lenses?

  • Contact lenses should be removed prior to application of LATISSE® and may be reinserted 15 minutes following its administration

Could LATISSE® cause the color of my eyes to change?

  • Increased brown iris pigmentation has occurred when the same formulation of bimatoprost ophthalmic solution was instilled directly into the eye to treat elevated intraocular pressure/glaucoma
  • Although iris pigmentation was not reported in clinical studies with LATISSE®, patients should be advised about the potential for increased brown iris pigmentation, which is likely to be permanent

  • We use a blue hard wax

  • Hard wax does not adhere to the skin, only to the hair, making it more gentle and less irritating to the skin.

  • Because the wax only sticks to the hair, it makes for a less painful wax

What type of wax do you use?

What is the difference between a strip lash, individual lashes, and lash extensions?

  • Strip lashes are as the name describes a strip of lashes that are applied with a lash adhesive that should be removed daily by the wearer
  • Individual lashes are 3-4 lashes attached at the base, that depending on how they are applied, can stay on for 1-3 days. These can be removed by the person who applied them or will fall off on their own
  • Lash extensions are professional fake lashes applied to each individual lash. They cannot be removed by the wearer. They can last up to 4 weeks on the lashes with proper care
  • Individual and strip lashes can be applied by anyone
  • Lash extensions should only ever be applied or removed by a certified professional

How long will my extensions last?

  • Extensions typically last 3-4 weeks with the right maintenance

How often do I need to get my lashes filled?

  • Lashes will need to be filled every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking their best

How do I remove the extensions?

  • The extensions will shed with the natural shedding of your eyelashes
  • Removing the lashes is done by our Esthetician
  • You should not ever pull or try to remove the extensions on your own, due to the possible damage of your natural lashes

How do I care for my lashes at home?

  • Our Esthetician will provide you with a lash comb to take home. Comb your lashes daily, and as needed
  • Avoid any oil-based makeup removers and face washes, as oil will break down the lash glue
  • Oil free makeup removers are easy to find and we can suggest some for you
  • As you normally would, clean your lashes as you wash your face daily with cleanser

Can I swim with lash extensions?

  • Constant exposure to water and pool chemicals can lessen the amount of time your lashes will last, but after 36 hours you can get your lashes wet and resume your normal daily activities
